The Twister uses a tough multi-core flexible inner shaft so the prop shaft is curved, presenting the propeller at the correct angle and reducing the overall length considerably. The shaft on this unit is only 48" long, half the length of the Long tail design. The curve in the Twister also allows the engine to sit lower in the boat, making the center of gravity lower and the boat more stable.

Q) How strong is the flex shaft?
A) The Twister's flex shaft is a braided STEEL cable (aka a Bowden cable) that is 18mm thick. (almost 1"). We've thoroughly tested the Twister to ensure that our customers will get long life out of the shaft. In the event that a problem with the cable arises, we have 100's of replacment cables available.
Q) Does the shaft require lubrication?
A) Yes. There are THREE spots on the outer housing that are tapped to hold an grease fitting. Fill with marine grease until full (approx 1-2 oz of grease)
Q) Is there a warranty on the Twister?
A) Yes, ONE full year from day of sale.
Q) Can I return my Twister for a refund?
A) A full refund (excluding original shipping cost) will be given if the Twister XL is returned in new, unused condition and is still in its original wrapping within 14 days.

The unit may be returned for a full refund within 14 days of receipt if in NEW and UNUSED and UNASSEMBLED condition and in original packaging. (Gasoline engines from Mud-skipper have a limited warranty for 90 days). Returns within 30 days of NEW, UNUSED and UNASSEMBLED products will incur a restocking fee. Returns are NOT accepted for used, tested or assembled kits.
Buyer is responsible for return shipping for any/all warranty claims. Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Mud-Skipper® does not provide pre-paid return labels. Before I ordered this kit I was talking with the customer service team that were very informative and very helpful answering all my questions and after speaking with them I decided to order the twister xl kit very shortly the kit arrived on my door step also I purchased the predator 420cc motor to go on it after opening the box everything was wrapped and packaged almost too good lol I promise you it wasn’t going to have a scratch on it!!! After looking at everything I was very impressed that this kit had every tool needed to complete the build and not some junkyard tools these tools were very heavy duty not ur typical kit ready tools. As I went through the instructions were very step by step easy to understand..... the only thing I had a question about was which wire to connect to for the kill switch so I called customer service and again they were so helpful and walked me threw on the phone which wire was what and how to connect it.. having great customer service before purchasing and after purchasing is why I rated this 5 star along with from time of unboxing to having this mudskipper in the water less than 3 hours. Also I was very impressed with how little vibration it had and it’s performance was really good so thanks to the mud skipper team for a really impressive kit!!!

This thing is awesome! I have been running it in a River in 6 inches of water with sand and gravel and big rocks and it keeps on going. Have not even put one dentin the prop yet, already put 12 hours on it. It takes a little trial and error to get the unit adjusted to the weight in the boat but once you do you better hold on when you drop it in the water because it will jump out of the hole and throw you back. For the price and what I use it for I am more than satisfied with it, just have to see how long it lasts. Assembly was easy as well, I don’t even use the throttle on the handle, just set the throttle on the motor and ease on up the River.

One month in use, It seems to be a very well made motor and drive train system. Assembled easy and after a few tries, I got the trim set just right.
