ROCK BRACKETS

ROCK BRACKETS

In pairs or multiples, Rock Brackets will create a solid base for your sundeck, dock, stairs, or walkway. They are used exclusively to create a safe shore base, as a transition to your floating dock systems.

Laser cut hot dipped galvanized A36 steel plates form the base, and galvanized HSS steel tube is used in the horizontal arm and adjustment barrels.

Bracket kits include structural grade SAE 4140 (A193 B7) galvanized mounting hardware, and acrylic chemical anchor.

Cantilevered above the water the brackets are completely adjustable, and permanently mounted to any inclined solid rock surface, from 25 to 90 degrees on our Original 36" unit, and 40 to 90 degrees on  Long Arm 72"unit.

Being cantilevered above the water all environmental concerns have been eliminated.

We recommend an 8 foot centre-to-centre span when using 2x8 dimensional lumber, with a cantilever of 24" beyond the bracket. These dimensions are standard building code in most regions, and will result in a platform of approximately 5'x8' on our 36" Original Bracket and 7'x8' on our 72” Long Arm Bracket.

If you are building in a "non organized" area, we recommend a cantilever not to exceed 48", which would result in a dock width of approx. 7-8 ft. on the Original 36" bracket, and 9-10 ft. on the Long Arm 72" bracket.

The 36" bracket is secured to the rock by 6-12" long, 5/8"dia. A193 B7 structural studs, drilled 6" deep into the rock face, held in place with A7 acrylic chemical anchors, and 2H structural nuts.

The 72" bracket is secured by 6-14" long, 5/8”dia. A193 B7 structural studs, drilled 8" deep into the rock face.

We will gladly review any digital photo's you have of your shoreline, to confirm shoreline compatibility, or answer any questions you may have.
